While heading North after so many beers in Shiner, Barney held it for miles to wait for the cleanest restrooms in Texas.

Waltzing across Texas, Barney stumbled upon the Spoetzel Brewery in Shiner, Texas…

Well, he wasn’t stumbling when he got there.

But after a few tastes of Shiner Bock, Shiner Black, and Shiner Blonde he definitely needed a rest.

Our little purple friend has some serious catching up to do. Here he is seen in front of the Alamo …

New Barney, same ol’ Luckenbach …

Wyatt has laid claim to FrankenBarney, and Jerry’s good ol’ smelly Barney doll is off on a tour of his own now.

Barney hasn’t blogged because he’s been recuperating from damage done by that new dog in town. But he was recently spotted hiding out in Slab City.

Upon closer inspection of the damage done, it was clear what brought our little purple friend to the Slabs.

A visit to the Church of Broken Toys was in order.

After reading Nate Blakeslee’s book about Race, Cocaine, and Corruption in a Small Texas Town, and finding himself in the Texas panhandle, Barney just had to stop by downtown Tulia, for a photo opportunity.

Due to circumstances beyond his control, our little purple friend ended up hanging around Luckenbach longer than expected. There’s worse places one could be stuck!
